Upon arrival at Siem Reap Int’s Airport, process immigration procedure (visa on arrival is available at cost USD 35), then get your luggage and walk straight to the Exit Gate where our representative and transfer directly around 15mins to the hotel for check in (check in time is 2pm). Remain of the day is free.

Siem Reap is the gateway city to the Temples of Angkor. These are absolutely incredible and will be one of the highlights of your trip. There are literally hundreds of temples – Angkor Wat is the name of the largest and most famous – some of which have been fabulously preserved and restored whilst others are almost completely over-run by the jungle and feel very remote.

Begin a trip to avoid the crow by visiting to Ta Prohm – The Ancestor Brama & Jungle Temple, famously known as the Tomb Raider temple. Most of this temple is covered by gigantic trees that have grown over the ancient structures for over 600 years. Ta Prohm has been left untouched by archaeologists except for the clearing of a path for visitors and structural strengthening to stave off further deterioration.

 

After Ta Prohm, head on over to Ta Keo, one of the biggest temples built during the Khmer Empire and it was built a couple of hundred years before Angkor Wat temple. Then visit the ruined Ta Nei temple that’s hidden in the jungle. Continue your trip to the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom where you will be welcomed by the four smiling faces of the King Jayavarman VII in the form of Buddha accompanied by gods and demons. This is a truly amazing sight. Enter through the gates to discover the impressive Angkor Thom temple complex (the Great City of King Jayavarman VII between 1181 – 1220 AD). The area consists of the Elephant Terrace, Leper King, Preah Paleilay, Ancient Royal Palace, Phimean Akas, Baphoun, and Bayon.

 

After lunch, you’ll visit to the World Heritage Site; the biggest Buddhist temple on the World. seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat and stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. If time permitted, we go to view sunset from where possible before return to hotel.

08:30am You’ll be picked up and departure to Kulen Mountain or Phnom Kulen is declared as a National Park. It is an isolated mountain massif located in Svay Leu District and some 48km from Siem Reap and believed to be the birthplace of the Khmer Empire where King Jayavarman II was crowned as ‘God-king’. Kulen Mountain is a favorite spot among Cambodian families for weekend getaways and special holidays. This is where families usually gather together and the place where visitors go for outdoor activities.

 

After 1hour drive, stop around 10-15min at ticket counter for checking ticket and you can use restroom or take a photo before drive up to the top of mountain. 20-30 minutes later, we reach the place and start trekking to visit The River of a Thousand Lingas, see some images of gods and countless Shiva Lingas carved on the riverbed. The carvings are visible when the water is at its lowest level. It is believed that they have been carved into the river for nearly a thousand years and are meant to bless the water that goes through them. Then climbing up to the Buddhist pagoda and see the Huge Reclining Buddha carved at the height of a big rock. The Buddha statue is made of sandstone and is one of the biggest of its kind in Cambodia. Our locals usually come here and visit the pagoda to pray and do some offerings. Don’t miss to take views from the top; you’ll see the lush forests and jungles as well as breaching fresh air.

 

Finally, we walk down and go to see the most beautiful waterfall, it is a perfect spot to cool off your day, plunge into the cold refreshing water that flows through the falls or simply relaxing and taking some nice photo for bring home with beautiful backdrop. Enjoy Khmer Lunch near waterfall and relaxing or swimming before return to the town and drop off at hotel around 3 – 4 pm.

At morning (08:30am) or noon (03:30pm) – Spend haft day visit Tonle Sap Lake

You’ll pick up by our guide & driver for visiting to the floating village on the Great Tonle Lake at Chhong Khneas Village. You’ll have an opportunity to stop and take some photos of the lotus flowers (seasonal) which are a deeply important flower in Buddhism. Upon arrival at the port, you will exit the vehicle and get to purchase ticket, then you’ll embarking on a traditional wooden boat driven by an experienced and safe local driver (life jackets are available).

 

The boat ride through the floating village will allow you to see ordinary Cambodians going about their daily life. Fishermen, boat-makers, markets, schools, spirit houses and waving children are always in plentiful supply on this mesmerizing scenic route. Our boat also stops at the floating Crocodile & Fish Farm to learn about some of the trades people on the life work in. If catfish and crocodiles don’t interest you, there is a souvenir shop and a viewing deck on board for you to purchase some presents for loved ones or take a few photos. Back to the city and if time permitted, visit “Les Artisans D`Angkor – Chantiers Ecoles”, this center works with young artisans; the team creates, produce and market a unique collection of ornamental sculpture, lacquer, silk weaving and silk painting.
